OVER A CENTURY OF SERVICE
In this age of fast food, franchise, and big-box stores, we have survived and thrived for over 109 years.

Susman Russakoff emigrated from Russia to New York City in 1904. While apprenticing as a watchmaker there, he was surprised at the amount of watch repair work that was being sent to him on a regular basis from Maine. He decided that if Maine had a shortage of watchmakers, that would be the place for him to start his own business.

He moved to Skowhegan in 1907, and founded Russakoff Jewelers on Water Street. The business was moved to its current location in the early 1950’s.

Archie Russakoff became the 2nd generation jeweler in the ‘40’s after World War II. He and his wife Phillis became sole owners when Susman passed away in 1966. Archie worked in the business until his death in 1993.

Andrew joined the business as the 3rd generation jeweler after graduating from college in 1983. He and his wife Donna, are proud to be the owners of the Oldest Continuously Owned and Operated Jewelry Store in Maine.
